Yango Group Launches AI-Powered Platform to Help Cities Manage Public Transport More Efficiently

Dubai, UAE, 18 June 2026 — Yango Group, global tech company, is expanding into public transport technology with the launch of an AI-powered management platform. The solution combines real-time data with operational tools in a single interface, helping transport authorities and operators manage complex urban mobility challenges.

Public transport remains one of the least digitised parts of urban infrastructure in many cities. Authorities and operators often rely on fragmented systems, leading to congestion, unreliable services and operational inefficiencies. According to the INRIX Global Traffic Scorecard, congestion increased in 62% of urban areas globally in 2025, highlighting the need for smarter transport management.

The new platform supports key areas of public transport management: network planning, daily operations and revenue control. Its AI layer analyses real-time and historical mobility data to forecast passenger demand, model traffic flows, identify network bottlenecks and suggest more efficient schedules, routes and fleet allocation. This enables authorities and operators to adjust networks of interconnected stops, identify areas with poor transport accessibility, introduce new routes, manage fleets, and monitor fare collection. According to internal estimates, integrated public transport solutions can help reduce traffic jams by up to 28%, lower operational costs by up to 35% and boost fare collection by up to 30%, while real-time data gathering and analysis can support up to 40% faster decision-making for city authorities.

“We work with urban mobility every day in cities around the world, from ride-hailing and navigation to delivery and other services. This gives us a practical view of how cities move and where the challenges are. Bringing that experience into public transport is a logical step. With the platform, we want to help cities build public transport systems that are easier to manage, more financially sustainable and more convenient for people to use, ” said Islam Abdul Karim, Regional head, Yango Group Middle East.

The solution also supports the integration of public transport services into the Yango SuperApp. Depending on the city and local implementation, passengers can access features such as multimodal trip planning, real-time vehicle tracking, digital ticketing, and transport card top-ups through a single interface, helping make urban mobility more convenient and predictable.

The launch reflects Yango Group’s broader focus on applying technology to urban mobility challenges and aligns with government agendas such as the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, including its 20-minute city initiative, which aims to make daily needs and destinations easier to reach through more sustainable and integrated mobility. As cities continue to grow and invest in smarter infrastructure, the company sees increasing demand for digital solutions that help transport authorities and operators make public transport more efficient, accessible and economically resilient.

New Pearson and AWS Research: 88% of Saudi Higher Education Leaders Say AI Investment Is Improving AI-Readiness for Graduates

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – June 18, 2026:  Pearson (FTSE: PSON.L), the world’s lifelong learning company, and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), an Amazon.com, Inc. company (NASDAQ: AMZN), today announced the launch of new research revealing the knowledge gaps that must be addressed to help graduates build stronger AI readiness to prepare for an AI-enabled future.

In Saudi Arabia, the findings show strong alignment between higher education and workforce needs, with a clear opportunity to turn AI access into workplace capability that supports Vision 2030.

The Data
The report, AI Readiness: Building the Bridge from Higher Education to Work, draws on more than 2,700 survey responses from learners, higher education leaders, and employers across six countries, including Saudi Arabia, the U.S., the U.K., Brazil, Vietnam and Malaysia, and is supplemented by in-depth interviews with higher education leaders.

The KSA findings offer a unique view across the learning-to-work journey, with the Kingdom showing strong alignment between institutional investment, learner confidence, and employer satisfaction with graduates.

  • 88% of higher education leaders describe AI investment at their institution as significant or moderate.
  • Approximately 90% of Saudi employers say graduate workplace readiness is much or somewhat better than it was five years ago, substantially above the cross-market average of 60%.
  • 43% of Saudi learners rate themselves as highly ready for an AI-enabled workforce.
  • 94% of Saudi higher education leaders report regular interaction with employers, a strong foundation for aligning learning with workforce needs.
  • The clearest opportunity is in applied experience: while Saudi learners report strong access to AI tools and instruction, one in three wants more hands-on, workplace-relevant practice to turn access into skills capability.

This data comes at a moment when artificial intelligence is reshaping entry-level roles, skill durability is declining, and workforce readiness is at risk worldwide. While AI adoption is accelerating across industries, the research shows that AI readiness is breaking down at the point of execution, where learning must translate into applied workplace capability, rather than from a lack of ambition or access.

“Saudi Arabia has created strong momentum for AI readiness by placing skills, education and workforce alignment at the centre of its national agenda. With AI talent development now a clear priority and large-scale capability-building already underway, the opportunity is to translate this ambition into practical, workplace-ready graduate skills. Pearson and AWS are working together to bridge the gap between higher education and employers, supporting institutions with learning, assessment, and credentials that prepare Saudi talent for an AI-enabled economy.” said Tony Lteif, Global Revenue Officer, English Language Learning and Saudi Country Ambassador for Pearson.

“This AI readiness research with Pearson reveals that our primary opportunity is to help translate AI tool engagement into real workplace capability. AWS is committed to working alongside our education partners to ensure every learner develops AI literacy, in addition to the judgment, adaptability, and hands-on experience employers need,” said Kim Majerus, Vice President of Global Education and U.S. State & Local Government at Amazon Web Services.

The Solution
AI readiness does not emerge by accident. It depends on structured, shared systems that connect curriculum to real work. Readiness is built where learning and work connect.

The KSA findings show strong foundations, with the next focus on applied learning, responsible AI trust, and the strategic and human skills employers continue to value.

To help leaders across education and enterprise move from diagnosis to action, the report introduces the AI Readiness Friction Framework, a practical tool that identifies six compounding frictions that slow progress across the education-to-work pathway. The report also provides concrete actions to remediate each friction point.

  • Pace Friction: The widening gap between the speed of AI-driven workplace change and the slower cadence of curriculum and institutional decision-making.
  • Connection Friction: Weak feedback loops between education and employers, reducing alignment between workforce needs and learning design.
  • Capability Friction: Uneven faculty and instructor AI capability, limiting consistent integration of AI into learning experiences.
  • Governance Friction: The absence of clear, practical guidance translating AI access into responsible, governed practice, resulting in shadow AI use that carries risk into the workplace.
  • Experience Friction: A disconnect between access to AI tools and structured opportunities to practice, apply, and demonstrate real-world capability.
  • Skills Friction: Misalignment between the capabilities graduates demonstrate and the applied judgment, adaptability, and collaboration employers require in AI-enabled roles.

By combining Pearson’s expertise in education systems, assessment, learning science, credentialing, and workforce skills with AWS’s deep insight into how AI is built, deployed, and governed in modern organizations, the report offers a shared framework to help institutions and employers align around a common definition of AI readiness and a clearer path forward.

The KSA findings show that continued collaboration between higher education and employers can help translate national AI ambition into workplace-ready capability.

Yango Group Expands AI consulting services to help enterprises move AI projects into production

Dubai, UAE, June 4, 2026 — Yango Group has launched an AI consulting service by Yango Tech, b2b division of the company. New service designed to help enterprises and government organisations in the UAE move AI initiatives from pilot stages to production deployment and measurable business outcomes.

The service helps organisations identify high-impact AI use cases, assess operational and business impact, and build clear implementation roadmaps. It also supports governance for responsible use, pre-pilot validation, integration, and embedding AI into existing systems and workflows.

The launch comes as companies across the GCC face growing pressure to turn AI investment into measurable business value. According to McKinsey’s 2025 research, 84% of organisations in GCC countries have adopted AI in at least one business function, but only 31% have scaled AI use cases across operations, while 11% are considered “AI value realizers”. Many organisations continue to face challenges related to unclear ROI, fragmented pilot projects, limited internal capabilities, and operating models not prepared for enterprise-wide AI adoption.

The service is designed for large enterprises, holdings, and government organisations operating in regulated and operationally complex environments. A dedicated part of AI expertise focuses on executive and employee training. These programmes are designed to improve AI literacy among management teams and help specialists develop practical skills for working with AI systems and AI-supported workflows. Unlike traditional advisory models focused primarily on strategy development, Yango Tech supports organisations through the implementation stage. We work with clients from initial assessment to production launch and measures success through operational and business outcomes rather than strategy delivery alone.”

Yango Group also holds the Tier S Dubai AI Seal awarded by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence. The certification recognises the company’s reliable, secure, and impactful AI solutions, with Tier S representing the highest level of economic contribution and technological safety.

UAE’s first publicly neurodivergent-owned mental health center launches in Dubai

Dubai, UAE, 11 June 2026: Uniquely You Mental Health Center, the UAE’s first publicly neurodivergent-owned and operated mental health clinic, has officially launched in Dubai. Founded by Elaine Maichin, an  American neurodivergent, CDA-licensed psychologist, a US-Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a licensed trauma therapist, the clinic has been established as a  neurodiversity-affirming specialized mental health center, designed to support clients from ages 13 to 60+, individuals  and families,  across healthcare, education and workplace settings in the UAE.

The launch comes as mental wellbeing becomes a stronger priority across the UAE. Cigna Healthcare’s International Health Study 2025 found that mental wellbeing in the UAE improved to 64%, with residents ranking it above physical wellbeing as their top health priority. The center was founded to offer care recognizing that every person has unique nervous system needs, which shapes how they process, and experience the world. Its approach brings together evidence-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and cultural responsiveness practice, with a strong focus on helping clients feel understood rather than reduced to symptoms or diagnoses.

The clinic supports clients navigating emotional, relational, workplace, and life-stage challenges. Elaine observed that many individuals were keen on seeking therapy to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, parenting pressures, grief, major transitions, and overall psychological well-being.  Additionally, across the UAE’s multicultural community, people are also navigating relocation, expatriate life, loneliness, and limited support networks, not always knowing where to turn for timely care.

The launch of the clinic responds to these concerns as well as areas of mental health that remain underreported or misunderstood. Neurodiversity remains a key area, especially in how autism and ADHD can present in girls, women, adults, high-achieving professionals, and people who have spent years masking their differences.

Elaine Maichin, MSc, NCC, LPC, Psychologist (CDA) and Owner of Uniquely You Mental Health Center said: “Mental health awareness in the UAE has grown significantly, but many people still need spaces where their experiences are understood with depth, compassion, and respect. Especially, when it comes to neurodiversity, it is perceived as something that needs to be fixed or overcome, but it actually is a natural form of human diversity rather than deficits to be cured. Greater public awareness is needed around the importance of acceptance and individualized support. At Uniquely You, we are passionate about bringing neurodiversity-affirming, accessible, and genuinely responsive care into the heart of the community. We aim to help people feel seen, build practical skills, and access support that reflects who they truly are.”

Uniquely You’s range of services include, Individual Psychotherapy and Counseling Sessions, Family Therapy, Autism and ADHD Assessments, DBT Skills-Based Group Therapy, Training and Workshops, and Support Groups. These services are structured to address diverse clinical, developmental, and emotional needs across individuals, families, and groups.

The center prioritizes care that is collaborative, personalized, and guided by each individual’s goals and lived experiences. It works with individuals through a structured clinical process that begins with an initial consultation focused on understanding concerns, personal history, and therapeutic goals, followed by the development of a personalised treatment plan that defines clear objectives and direction of care. Moreover, neurodiversity-affirming care supports autistic individuals and those with ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, and other neurotypes in developing a deeper understanding of their unique ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world. This approach fosters self-awareness, self-advocacy, and wellbeing while helping individuals navigate school, work, relationships, communication, sensory experiences, executive functioning, and societal expectations in ways that honor their strengths, needs, and authentic identities. This aligns with Dubai Health Authority’s AED 105 million Mental Wealth Framework, a five-year plan built around ten initiatives focused on early detection, intervention, prevention, and community support.

Uniquely You MHC has also worked with organizations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to support mental health awareness and employee well-being. The center is expected to expand its team over time, with future growth focused on adding more psychologists and increasing access to specialized services. The long-term vision is to grow Uniquely You MHC into a trusted UAE-based platform for neurodiversity-affirming mental health care, trauma-informed treatment, school collaboration, workplace wellbeing, crisis support, and community education.

Swisslog to deliver a second frozen high bay warehouse project for Magnavale

Dubai, UAE, June 2, 2026 – Swisslog, a leading provider of data-driven intralogistics automation, has announced its appointment as automation partner for Magnavale’s new frozen storage facility in Avonmouth, Bristol. The project, known as Magnavale Bristol, will be the second frozen high bay warehouse Swisslog delivers under a framework agreement with Magnavale (Sadel Group).

A framework partnership for long-term growth

The award follows the successful delivery of Project Phoenix, Magnavale’s first automated frozen high bay warehouse at Easton in Lincolnshire, which became fully operational at the end of 2024. That project established a framework agreement under which Magnavale plans to construct up to eight frozen high bay warehouses across the UK and EU, with the goal of becoming the market leader in frozen pallet storage. Swisslog’s selection reflects the confidence Magnavale has placed in its engineering capability, collaborative approach, and ability to deliver at scale in one of the most demanding operational environments in the industry.

Shane Faulkner, Swisslog UK Managing Director said: “Winning a second project with Magnavale is a strong signal of the trust they place in Swisslog’s technology and our ability to deliver. With plans for up to eight frozen high bay warehouses across the UK and EU, this is a partnership with real long-term significance, both for Magnavale’s growth and for Swisslog’s position in the UK cold storage market. What sets us apart in this sector is our willingness to commit to minimum throughput levels, even in the event of a system disruption. That level of confidence in our own engineering is something Magnavale’s customers can rely on, and it is central to why this partnership works.”

Andrew Lawrence, Director at Sadel Group said: “We are delighted to be continuing the partnership with Swisslog for our development in Bristol. Having successfully delivered the automation at Magnavale Easton in partnership with Swisslog, we have a deep shared understanding of the standards this project demands and are confident that Swisslog’s systems can and will deliver the throughput, reliability and flexibility that Magnavale Bristol requires.”

Building on proven engineering with site-specific enhancements

Swisslog’s engineering and design teams drew directly on their experience at Easton to shape the Bristol solution, bringing proven technology to the Avonmouth site while incorporating targeted enhancements specific to Magnavale Bristol. Simulation modelling played a central role early in the design process, allowing Swisslog to test and validate throughput levels across a range of operational scenarios, including resilience modes, well before finalising the system design.

Working closely alongside racking and cladding suppliers from the outset, Swisslog’s teams coordinated the detailed interface between the low bay and high bay warehouse environments.

A high-resilience solution for extreme conditions

The Avonmouth facility can operate down to -28°C within an approximately 45-metre high clad-rack structure housing 90,000 total pallet locations across the site. Ten Vectura stacker cranes will manage pallet movements throughout the high bay, comprising two manual dual load handling device cranes and eight double-deep dual load handling device cranes. A two-tiered monorail system and approximately 1,500 metres of ProMove conveyor across two levels will support product flow, with all operations orchestrated by Swisslog’s SynQ Warehouse Control System, delivering real-time stock visibility, intelligent load sequencing, and FEFO/FIFO stock management.

A defining feature of the solution is Swisslog’s commitment to guaranteed minimum throughput rates in the event of a monorail disruption. This resilience requirement, built into the system design and validated through simulation, gives Magnavale the operational confidence to fulfil customer commitments even during periods of disruption.

Strengthening Swisslog’s position in UK cold storage

Magnavale Bristol reinforces Swisslog’s credentials as a specialist in large-scale frozen automation, with resident site engineering teams experienced in operating within frozen environments forming part of the ongoing service offer. With Magnavale’s expansion programme still in its early stages, the framework agreement represents a significant pipeline of future opportunity and a growing body of proven cold storage expertise within the UK market.

Shaffra Unveils ‘Subconscious AI’, a Saudi-Built Cognitive Architecture for the Next Generation of Enterprise AI

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, June 03, 2026 – Shaffra, an AI company building AI infrastructure for enterprises and governments, has launched ‘Subconscious AI’, a new cognitive architecture designed to transform how enterprise AI systems process, retain, and act on knowledge at scale.

The solution is introduced as a foundational intelligence layer within Shaffra’s Enterprise AI Workforce Platform, which enables organizations to design, deploy, govern, and orchestrate autonomous AI employees across departments including sales, operations, finance, HR, customer service, and knowledge management. With Subconscious AI, these AI employees gain stronger memory persistence, improved contextual awareness, and more efficient reasoning. Instead of repeatedly consuming full historical data or relying on basic retrieval methods, AI agents operate through a continuously updated cognitive layer that prioritizes what matters most to the business in real time.

The new development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s accelerating national push to become a global AI hub under Vision 2030, where technology investment is increasingly concentrated in artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data centers, and enterprise digitalization. With annual ICT spending exceeding SAR 170 billion (approximately USD 45 billion), the Kingdom stands as the Middle East’s largest technology market and a key priority for investors, technology vendors, and venture capital activity.

Marc Wehbi, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Shaffra, said: “Enterprise AI cannot scale if every agent needs to consciously process everything at every step. Human intelligence works because the brain continuously filters, compresses, and surfaces only what matters, and Subconscious AI brings that same principle into enterprise AI infrastructure. It changes the economics of running AI at enterprise scale, enabling organizations to reduce context overload, improve reasoning efficiency, and scale autonomous AI teams with greater control. We are proud to be building this foundational AI technology from Saudi Arabia for the global enterprise market.”

He adds: “The next era of enterprise AI will not be defined only by larger models or longer context windows. It will be defined by systems that know what to remember, what to ignore, what to retrieve, and when to act.”

Subconscious AI combines persistent semantic and episodic memory with dynamic relevance detection, context compression, and selective retrieval. This enables long-horizon reasoning, shared cognitive state across AI agents, lower computational costs, and greater continuity across complex enterprise workflows.

Shaffra is backed by leading regional and international investors, including stc, Omantel, and global technology leaders, having raised more than $10 million to accelerate the development of enterprise AI technologies and autonomous workforce platforms. The company is chaired by Sergey Kravchenko, an investor in Shaffra and former Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of Boeing Global Services. The launch of Subconscious AI reflects Shaffra’s ambition to build globally relevant AI infrastructure from Saudi Arabia and contribute to the Kingdom’s growing role as a hub for advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and enterprise innovation.
